Where is it located

The first topic is, where Canadian tundra is located. Well, Canadian tundra is located in the northeast hemisphere, It is really cold and it is really close to Antarctica. In the article “Hinterland Who’s Who”it says that “The Arctic tundra is the biome that lies between the edge of the taiga (or boreal forest), or tree line, and the permanent ice caps closer to the North Pole or the Arctic Ocean.” This is where It is located.Tundra is mostly like Antarctica but it is so much warmer than Antarctica. Canadian tundra is also connected to Antarctica which also has a tundra, but that's a different story.

The next topic is, what lives in Canadian tundra. There are many things that live in tundra like, Caribou, Arctic wolves, pika, Arctic foxes, and Arctic poppies (my favorite). Arctic poppies survive by pointing their leaves at the sun to get the most sunlight they can. This is so they can reproduce quicker because there is more night than day, like in Antarctica. In the article “Plant Life” that “ The bearberry is a plant with red berries and green leaves. This plant survives in this biome by staying close to the ground to avoid high winds. Hairy stems to help keep safe from the extreme temperatures Owls and birds in the tundra eat the berries on the plant. The bearberry isn't found in any other biome. The bearberry is the most common plant in the tundra.” It also says in paragraph 2 that “A pika is a hamster type animal. It is 20cm long and is a cute, little, brown, fuzzy tan animal. The pika eats grass and herbs, therefore it is a herbivore.”If you ever see one they are adorable!
