Agenda

How Does Mobile Marketing Work?

Mobile marketing consists of ads that appear on mobile smartphones, tablets, or other mobile devices. Mobile marketing ad formats, customization, and styles can vary, as many social media platforms, websites, and mobile apps offer their own unique and tailored mobile ad options.

Why You Need a Mobile Marketing Strategy

This is the age of wifi access. Wifi hotspots are constantly emerging and all major institutions have it throughout. Walk around any city and you’ll find more than just a few people with faces stuck to their smartphone screens. According to recent reports, 40% of users’ internet time is spent on mobile devices, which means simply ignoring the rise of mobile just isn’t an option.

What is Mobile Marketing?

 The future has arrived. If you're not considering using a mobile marketing strategy, you're already falling behind. More people are spending larger amounts of time engaged with mobile devices than ever before. This trend is only expanding, so all companies no matter what size must use this interactive platform.

Mobile Marketing

So why aren't you already doing it?

There are requirements that a company will need in order to participate in mobile marketing. They will need a shortcode and a keyword. A shortcode is a WordPress-specific code that lets you do complicated things with very little effort. Shortcodes can embed files or create objects that would normally require lots of complicated, ugly code in just one line. (From wordpress.com)

Shortcode = shortcut.

These shortcuts create ads that drive customers towards your sites or motivate purchases. Now, companies can buy their own shortcode, but that will cost you between $1000 to $1500 per month. (From aboutmoney.com)

Starting your own App or creating its presence is a highly technical and strenuous process. Those who have been successful at mobile marketing usually have access to a large amount of financial backing and monitoring systems. Big corporations had isolated the effectiveness of mobile marketing by making it seems only attainable through a large established influence.

Small business owners do not have the time, money, or ability to learn and impliment these communication techniques. How can small businesses stay current and successful without being able to communicate with all potential customers? Consultants and technitians are complicating a simple process that has been proven to work, but how can this be attained by your average business owner? Streetcast has the answer.

 "It's about engagement and reach, and without that integration, you lose the power the mobile marketing holds. Make the offer unique and something that they won't find elsewhere. Offerings must be unique to be valuable.”
