Guide to Jesus and Friends

Sacraments and Stuff

A Sacrament is a gift God has given us to become closer to him.

Immagine that God is a basketball game  and u really want to watch it but there are things you have to do before you get to go. First u have to wake up and shower that is the sacrament of baptism you are cleansing yourself of the sin you had. Then you have to clean your room this is the sacrament of reconciliation you have to take time think about what you're about to do and then clean really deep and get everything but when it's clean you feel really good. After that you have to eat this would be the Sacrament of the Eucharist you eat and are filled with food but instead of food you are filled with Jesus. Next you have to make sure that you have the right direction to get to the game, this would be confirmation you make sure that you will not get lost but arrive at the game safe and sound. Next you would have to pick up your friend that is the sacrament of marriage because you're making sure you take care of the person you're taking there so that you can have fun when you get there.

dos churches

These Churches have many similarities but they also have some differences for instance the Western church calls its sacraments the mysteries. Also Western Church began to write and speak in Latin while the Eastern Church spoke and wrote Greek.

Gods Gift of Grace

Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.

So to sum it up grace is the gift god has given to us to be holy and one with him through the sacraments

Jesus is constantly all around us. He is present in the sacraments so that when anybody baptizes, it is really Christ himself who baptizes them in the holy spirit. When we are baptized Christ is put into our hearts and soul. He is with us through everything that goes on in our life good or bad no matter what he is there for us.

Spiritual and Physical Church

The Church is like the sacraments that are in Communion and unity with God and all men. The Church is a physical representation of God’s signs and instruments.  The church building in this world is just a physical aspect of the Church while the spiritual part of the Church is Jesus living within us. It is the sign and Communion of God and the human race. The Church has many sacraments, and with these sacraments Christ communicates with us here on earth. The trinity is as we know 1 god in 3 persons father son and Holy Spirit now we need may not always hear God or Jesus talking to us, but we do hear the Holy Spirit. You know that annoying little voice in your head that is always telling you what to do that's the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is the voice that tells you not to cheat when you have the chance, or the thing you hear when you're about to do something dumb and it tells you not to. Now not everyone listens to this voice and that's when people start to fall away from the church. Now we need to remember to always listen to that little voice in our heads to make sure we stay on the right path.

Jesus Living Though Us

Christ lives through us and the way he does that is through the sacraments. He is present in the Eucharist and when we eat the body and drink the blood he is in our body and lives with us day to day. All the sacraments heal you in some way just not all the same. Anointing of the sick is exactly what it sounds like its blessing the sick to help them get better. Confession heals the soul in that we are free of all of our sins and are closer to God.

practice praying

There are many ways to pray there is saying an our father or praying the rosary, but what you may not know is that just talking to God and having a conversation is a form of prayer or before a test or sporting event to ask god to keep healthy and perform to the best of your ability.

Liturgical prayer is praying as a group either in a church school or anyplace people pray together. Personal prayer is just praying or talking to god one on one.
