 St. Lawrence River

The St. Lawrence River follows a northeast course along a lowland belt between the Adirondack Mountains and Appalachian foothills to the east and the uplands of the Canadian Shield to the west. The St. Lawrence flows through the Montreal lowlands until it widens into Lake St. Pierre.

Niagara Falls

Niagara falls is located between the province of antario and New York State, the falls flow between lake Erie and lake Ontario. The Niagara Falls have a height of 162 feet down wich is higher than a 15 story building.

Canadian Shield

The Canadian Shield covers about 5 million km2. Glacial ice have marked its surface and left it strewn with countless lakes, rivers, streams and ponds. The Canadian Shield is composed of precambrian rocks that are 570 million years old.


Hudson Bay

Hudson Bay, is a large body of saltwater in northeastern Canada, with a surface area of 470,000 sq mi. Hudson Bay and James Bay (its southern extension) and all their islands border Nunavut Territory, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.Hudson Strait  connects Hudson Bay with the Atlantic Ocean, and Foxe Channel leads to the Arctic Ocean.

Lake Superior

Lake Superior is a natural border between Canada and the United States. Its surface area is 31,700 miles. The shoreline length is 1,826 miles.
